When to calculate age on a specific date
Your age today is not always the age a form, application, event, or historical record needs. This calculator compares a date of birth with a target date and uses calendar arithmetic rather than dividing the number of elapsed days by 365.
It can help with school or sports eligibility checks, historical records, insurance forms, employment paperwork, milestone planning, and determining age on an event date. Always follow the receiving organization's cutoff and rounding rules.
How the result is calculated
The tool subtracts complete calendar years first, then complete months, then remaining days. Month length and leap years are handled automatically. All processing takes place in your browser; the dates are not submitted to our server.
Example
If a person was born on May 10, 2000 and the selected date is August 18, 2026, the calendar result is 26 years, 3 months, and 8 days.
